What to Expect?

You may have been putting off taking the first step to getting help, convincing yourself that things would improve, or you just didn't have time to think about it. It can feel daunting, but it is a positive first step towards helping yourself.  

 

The most important thing is to ensure that you receive the right kind of help from someone you feel comfortable working with - and that may not be clinical hypnosis or it may not be me!  If needed I will always be happy to refer clients to other professionals that might be a better fit for their need.

Clinical Hypnotherapy

 

Hypnosis is not a mystical experience - it is simply a state of trance or deep relaxation where the conscious mind is able to 'switch off' and give you access to all the resources that you naturally have within you.  Most of us go into trance several times during the day - watching television, running, or even driving (remember the last time you arrived somewhere and realised you had no recollection of having driven there?).  

 

In clinical hypnosis we use a deep state of relaxation to allow you to change habits in how you think and behave that aren't serving you, and to build new habits that will help you make the changes in your life that you want to make.
